This seven day retreat is designed for people who wish to deepen their yoga practice and relax and restore for a weekend, BUT also let loose and have some fun. Yes, yoga, meditation, surfing, rice paddies, monkey forests, beach sunsets, stargazing, and waterfalls all in one trip!!
Dive deep into your yoga practice with eight 75-90 minute practices one magickal ritual and one special workshop! Yoga classes will be set to playlists including alternative, punk, emo and metal. Travel with a built in community and cultivate new life long friendships with like-minded nature-loving, yoga and fitness loving misfits and weirdos.

IMAGINE THIS:
You wake up in a super comfy bed with luxe linens. You get ready and walk outside your door to see a glistening pool. You grab a warm cup of balinese coffee and an all-natural breakfast as you sit a table with new friendly faces with similar interests as you.
You get lead through a challenging but fun and creative flow to the sound of an alt band like The Cure, Type O, or Fall Out Boy. You land a yoga pose you thought was out of your reach. The energy in the room allows for expansiveness and you feel invigorated and refreshed.
After yoga, you shower and then hang out with a cup coffee or tea with your feet in the pool or maybe take walk to the ocean and take a dip, or maybe you walk into to town for some shopping. Maybe you take a sit in the sauna and take an ice plunge. You return for a communal lunch where you get to know the fellow retreaters and cultivate deeper friendships. In the afternoon, maybe you take a dip in the pool, a swim in ocean or maybe you book some bodywork or take a cat nap. Maybe you even try out a surf lesson! One of the days, we’ll venture to Ubud for a tour including the Water Temple, Rice Paddy Trek, Monkey Forest and Waterfall! A second excursion is to be announced.
In the evening, you take meditative, gentle yoga class that allows the body to open and the mind to relax. After class, you once again sit at a large table with all of your new like-minded friends and chat about the adventures of the day and share stories of the past and your plans for the future. Then you hang by the pool with a few new friends for a chill night in. Maybe you put a horror movie up in the theatre. Maybe you decide you want a rowdy night out and walk into town for a couple of cocktails/mocktails. Maybe you call it an early night and get a peaceful night’s sleep.

This retreat will be at OASIS by Where’s Next. One of the best Eco-Friendly Retreat Centers in Bali, with all the amenities you will ever need. Rice field views, lush landscapes, and surrounding Balinese Temples, OASIS is perfectly located just 3 minutes to the beach in central Canggu tucked away from all the hustle and bustle of cafes and restaurants with views of rice fields and a gigantic pool. You will truly feel like you are in your own Oasis.

RETREAT HOST: Crystal
Crystal Rose is latina punk who has been practicing yoga and meditation for over 15 years. Like most, she came to yoga for the physical benefits, but continued for the emotional and mental benefits. Yoga allowed her to breath deeper, reduce anxiety and increase her focus, both on the mat and in life. She has a passion for Ayurvedic Self Care and all things Lunar.
She's all about making yoga accessible to BIPOC and Alternative Folks who may be scared away from trying it because they don’t fit the stereotypical mold for a yoga practitioner. Her classes are intentional and powerful and always open to all-levels.
co-host: Kaila
Kaila will be teaching two classes / workshops on this trip! She is a adventure loving yoga teacher who has been practicing since she was a teenager and teaching for the better part of the last decade. She believes in the magic of movement and breath and the invisible connection between all things. A lover of astrology, tarot, and all things woo-woo, she’s always up for discussing the occult or participating in a ritual.
Kaila’s classes can range from energetic and challenging to slow and introspective. Each class comes from a choose-your-own-adventure approach, where ultimately the authority on how to move through the postures lies with each student. Her goal is for each student to leave her classes feeling a little more empowered in themselves.
Danielle will be leading a workshop and offering 1 on 1 Tarot and Astrology readings!
Danielle is a Reiki Master and Intuitive Astrologer who specializes in Soul Purpose Astrology Readings, Intuitive Tarot Readings and loves teaching others to access their own intuitive gifts! Learning Reiki over 10 years ago changed her life - giving her a way to regulate her own anxiety and start trusting herself and develope her own intuition. She also teach Reiki classes out of Boston, MA and run a 9-week program for uncovering your spiritual gifts called the In Your Power Program. She also lovee traveling with Health Goth Yogis around the world, petting all the kitty cats, surfing and karaokeeing!

YOGA
All Yoga classes will be all levels. There will be seven 75-90 minute practices that include Pranayama, Meditation, Yin/Yang, Power Vinyasa Yoga, Flow & Restore, Yin Yoga, Burn Releasing Ritual and a Workshop that will be voted upon by retreat attendees!
Most morning classes will be energizing. These invigorating classes will include pose breakdowns of intermediate poses like Crow Pose, Bird of Paradise and Splits. Most evening classes will be meditative, relaxing and cooling.
Power Classes will be challenging yet accessible with options offered to meet the need of various levels of experience. Vinyasa classes are moderately paced and multi-level that link movement to breath. Yin Yoga is a grounding floor-based practice that allow the body to open and lengthen deeply with long holds. Yin Yang is a mix of Yin and Vinyasa flow to balance the lunar and solar energy within the body.

Though Health Goth Yoga invites anyone and everyone, HGY is the only brand that regularly hosts yoga retreats that are curated specifically for alternative subculture yoga students around the world and geared to those who love to adventure as well as practice yoga to emo, punk, goth alternative and metal 🤘🏽
CAN I COME IF I’M A BEGINNER OR NEW TO YOGA?
OMG yes, of course! We encourage all levels, genders, body types, ethnicities, orientations, subcultures, anyone and everybody. We get a lot of students who have never done yoga! We ask that you have an open mind + listen to your body!
WHAT IF I’M NOT ‘GOTH”? WILL I FIT IN?
10000% YES! Health Goth Yoga is totally inclusive!! We love everyone!! We don’t care if you don’t like goth music, punk, metal, indie or emo! But a lot of us definitely do! So we just ask that you come with an open mind and willingness to practice yoga to alternative music! Since I teach traditional classes at studios across Boston, there’s usually a handful students who don’t consider themselves alternative, but just love yoga and love adventure! We all vibe and get along great!
CAN I COME ALONE?
Of course, I’d say 75% of people come alone to HGY Retreats! It's a great way to focus on yourself and meet new like minded people! Everyone leaves with life long friendships!
CAN I BRING A PARTNER?
Yes, splitting a bed in a private room is a great way to offset cost! Bali is a great trip to bring a partner to! The location of the retreat center is super central to attractions, stores, activities and the beach. Even if they don’t like yoga, they will still have fun and you can add them for just $1,000!

DO YOU HAVE A PAYMENT PLAN?
Yes! The deposit is $750 and we can split the rest of the payment due across 2-10 payments as long as the full amount is paid in time.
WHAT IF TEN MINUTE WALK TO THE BEACH IS TOO FAR FOR ME?
Embrace the Bali lifestyle and rent a scooter! During the couple of days with free time, you can rent a scooter from our retreat center for less than $20 per day. On a scooter, the beach is just 3 minutes away and we’re so close to so many cool restaurants and markets!
WHAT ABOUT THOSE TWO MEALS THAT AREN’T INCLUDED?
One of the best things in Bali is the food and the cafes!! This new retreat center is in central Canggu you’re minutes away from the coolest and yummiest cafes on the island! You can take your pick at any one of the amazing restaurants or trendy cafes and enjoy some time alone or explore with your new found friends! I mean look up Penny Lane or Kynd Cafe 😍 (This also gives the opportunity for meat lovers to escape the retreat’s vegetarian diet as I don’t feel comfortable as a vegetarian of 17 years catering meat products- sorry!)
WHAT'S THE REFUND POLICY?
We know yoga retreats are an investment of time and money. I suggest getting Travelers Insurance after placing your deposit (up to 14 days after signing up to be covered). This can cover canceled or missed flights, lost luggage, and some travel insurance cover for sickness or cover if you want to cancel for any reason (CFAR).
If you cancel up to four months prior to retreat, any payments after your non-refundable deposit can be refunded (but not your deposit itself.) After four months, there are no refunds.
All deposits and payments can be transferred until one month prior to the retreat, but you are responsible for finding your replacement.
After one month prior to retreat, there are no refunds and no transfers. As a small one-person business that has contracts with venues and vendors, exceptions to our policy cannot be made for any reason.
